ASES Before and After School Program

Our ASES (After School Education and Safety) program is our largest Before and After School program that has a student capacity of approximately 250 students across the district.  Families must obtain and fill out a registration packet and sign a contract agreeing to the guidelines set forth by the State of California and the Grass Valley School District.  Morning program hours are from 7-9am.  Afternoon/evening hours are from school dismissal time to at least 6pm.  ASES programs are not open during break times, holidays, or in Summer.

Bell Hill Academy has a PM ASES program, but does not have an ASES morning program.  In the morning, this site is reserved for families enrolled in the CCTR Year Round program only.  Margaret Scotten Elementary and Lyman Gilmore Middle School have both AM and PM ASES programs.

ASES contracts only cover the school year calendar which runs from mid August to Mid June.  In May and June of each year, our site supervisors begin reaching out to our currently enrolled families to prioritize students for the upcoming school year.  Once this process is completed, we will know how many open spots are available for the next school year.  In August, families can reach out to the site supervisor that is assigned to each site.  In some cases, we may send out messaging earlier than August to recruit more families, but that is dependent on the re-enrollment process for returning families. Communication is sent out through the Aeries Parent Communication portal called Parent Square.  Site Supervisor contact information is listed below:
