Grass Valley Foundation for Arts and Sciences
Grass Valley School Foundation for Arts and Sciences was formed in 2003 by a group of committed Grass Valley School District Parents. The Foundation supports the district's arts and science programs. Some of the supported projects include Science Camp, Visiting artists and theatrical groups and special field trips. Flags Over the Foothills is a fundraising effort to support these programs. Subscribers pay a yearly fee to sponsor a flag for display in downtown Grass Valley. Flags are displayed on four holidays - Memorial Day, Flag Day, Fourth of July and Veteran's Day.
